The reasons for the award
Simon Sinek states, “Integrity is when our words and actions are consistent with our intentions.”
At this delicate time, we are exposed to uncertainty, anguish and frustration; thus, we increasingly need human and credible leaders, able to generate trust and lead towards a common direction with firmness, and above all in humility.
For this reason, we have decided to award the 2021 Safety Leadership Award to a person who perfectly embodies these values and offers us a great example of human leadership.
In particular:
- Because of his commitment as spokesman of the dignity and rights of persons with disabilities and their families.
- Because of his tenacity in promoting prevention, information and training as key principles of health and safety at work.
- Because of his spontaneity and clarity in communicating his vision. He promotes a vision based on the alliance between institutions, social partners, production sector and workers.
- For humanity and empathy of his words and actions in all circumstances, both in public and in private.
For all these reasons, the LHS Foundation is pleased to confer the Safety Leadership Award 2021 to Franco Bettoni, President of INAIL.
